Jamaica

Jamaica has a population of approximately 2.8 million and is the third largest Caribbean island. We are known for our natural beauty, which our economy heavily depends on.
However, like any place, Jamaica has multiple dimensions including politics, poverty, and many other aspects that visitors may not always see.
Our national symbols:
Motto: Out of Many, One People
Bird: The Doctor Bird
Dish: Ackee and Saltfish
Anthem: Eternal Father
Pledge: Before God and All Mankind
Jamaicans are proud, honest, and hardworking people. Though a few may give us a bad name, as a majority, we are truly IRIE!
Our music is typically reggae, which is my favorite. While I appreciate Bob Marley and others who paved the way for current artists, I'm more into contemporary reggae, also known as dancehall.
